World Peace Day

Every year in February, before the students prepare for the official exams in March and April, they celebrate the Sufi Saint School World Peace Day.

This celebration is the highlight of the school year and a cultural event which is reported in the media.

The school invites friends of the school (including celebrities, artists and international guests) to the event, as well as the parents of the students, such that the values of the school and the message that life can be lived peacefully among all cultures and religions can be made public.

The focus of the celebrations is – apart from music and short speeches – the performances by the students. These are prepared long beforehand, and often allow students to discover unexpected talents in singing, dancing, crafts, poetry and drama.
The joint creative process of preparing the day brings the students together and anchors the concerns of the World Peace Day in their hearts.

The school relies on donations to meet the costs of the preparation and realisation of this wonderful day advancing World Peace.
